Brittney S. Smith LPC-MHSP
Brittney is a Licensed Professional
Counselor who has been in practice locally
for 6 years providing clinical psychotherapy
for adolescents, adults, couples, and
families. Brittney earned a Bachelors
degree in Science in Human Ecology; Child
and Family Services and a Masters degree in
Marriage and Family. She works in a variety
of clinical areas and specializes in the
treatment of sexual issues including trauma,
addictions, and dysfunctions.
Brittney is motivated in pursuing
self-awareness and mindfulness in order to
facilitate mental and emotional personal
growth. She is a strong believer in the
mind body connection and considers true
health to be best obtained through the
integrative approach. Her clinical
experiences include working with depression,
mood disorders, anxiety, personality
disorders, trauma, marital issues, spiritual
issues, co-dependency, and family systems
issues. Her therapeutic orientation is
eclectic, relying heavily on interpersonal,
psychodynamic, contextual, systemic, and
sensory processing modalities. She is also
a mental health service provider and in
process of transitioning her credentialing
with several insurance panels. |
