Jeffrey Jump,
M.D.
Medical Director
The Center for
Integrative Medicine
Dr. Jump received
his B.A. from Wittenberg University in 1986 and his M.D.
from The Ohio State University in 1990. After an internship
in Family Medicine at the Naval Hospital of Charleston, Dr.
Jump spent three years as an Undersea Medical Officer with
Submarine Squadron 16, based in King’s Bay, Georgia.
In 1994, Dr. Jump
left the Navy to become the medical director of the Appling
County Hospital Emergency Department. He held this position
for 2 years before coming to Chattanooga to complete his
Family Medicine residency at Memorial Hospital. Highlights
of Dr Jump’s residency included being elected Chief
Resident, publishing a research paper on attitudes toward
complementary and alternative medicine, and spending a month
in Scotland at the Homeopathic Hospital of Glasgow.
After graduation
in 1998, Dr. Jump received his board certification in Family
Medicine, and established the Center for Integrative
Medicine. He has studied medical acupuncture through the
UCLA College of Medicine, qualifying for board certification
in 2000. He also qualified for board certification in
Holistic Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Jump
continues to lead the Center for Integrative Medicine, a
full service primary care practice, which has grown to
provide care for over 10,000 people in the Chattanooga
area. |
