Jeffrey Jump, M.D.

Medical Director

The Center for Integrative Medicine

Dr. Jump received his B.A. from Wittenberg University in 1986 and his M.D. from The Ohio State University in 1990.  After an internship in Family Medicine at the Naval Hospital of Charleston, Dr. Jump spent three years as an Undersea Medical Officer with Submarine Squadron 16, based in King’s Bay, Georgia.

In 1994, Dr. Jump left the Navy to become the medical director of the Appling County Hospital Emergency Department.  He held this position for 2 years before coming to Chattanooga to complete his Family Medicine residency at Memorial Hospital.  Highlights of Dr Jump’s residency included being elected Chief Resident, publishing a research paper on attitudes toward complementary and alternative medicine, and spending a month in Scotland at the Homeopathic Hospital of Glasgow.

After graduation in 1998, Dr. Jump received his board certification in Family Medicine, and established the Center for Integrative Medicine.  He has studied medical acupuncture through the UCLA College of Medicine, qualifying for board certification in 2000.  He also qualified for board certification in Holistic Medicine in 2000.

Dr. Jump continues to lead the Center for Integrative Medicine, a full service primary care practice, which has grown to provide care for over 10,000 people in the Chattanooga area.
